Tutorial

Here you can find a brief tutorial that will allow you to quickly start working with AuctionNavigator.

After you install the program, you should specify several settings.

Open the "Settings"-"Program..." menu and switch to the "User" tab

eBay user settings

Press the "Change user name and password" button to open the window where you should enter the username and password received after registering on eBay.
Go to the "Time synchronization" tab and set the parameters the way it is shown in the picture

Time synchronization

If you connect to the Internet using the modem, go to the "DialUp" tab and select what connection should be used.
Go to the "Time zone" tab. If the time zone is specified correctly in the Windows settings, there is nothing to be done here. If they are incorrect, edit the time zone in Windows, and if you cannot do that, specify the time offset manually on the "Time zone" tab.

Press the "Ok" button to save the changes.

Now we can get down to the most interesting part. Suppose you want to buy a Pentium III notebook. To make it easier, let us create the folder system as shown in the picture

eBay Auction folders

Drag and drop all the items you are interested in to the corresponding folders.

Drag and drop the eBay items

You can learn about other methods of adding items here. To view the item in a separate window, you can press the "Shift" key and click the necessary item in the "auction list".

Now you can specify the price. Double-click the item in the "auction list" and you will see the "Item properties" window. Specify the parameters in that window. You can learn how to do it better here. After that there will appear a sight sign next to the item

Snipe target

It means that this item is on the bid plan and the program will bid on it. To view the bid plan, go to the "Reports"-"Bid plan" menu. Pay attention to the starting time, it should be your time taking into account the time offset between you time zone and the eBay time zone.
If you allow the program to establish a DialUp connection, the dialup plan will be created as well. It can be viewed in the "Reports"-"DialUp plan" menu.
Attention! AuctionNavigator must be running to be able to bid. If you use a mode, it is necessary for the modem to be on as well. If the modem is already in use, there must be a connection to the Internet established. You can minimize the program into the system tray. If the program is in the system tray, you do not need to restart it.

After you put an item on the bid plan, no activity is required from you. The program will buy the item for you automatically. You can view in the log how the auction has been carried out. Below you can see a part of the log where AuctionNavigator has won the item. You can see that AuctionNavigator made two bids. The first time the bid turned out to be less, but AuctionNavigator made another bid and won.
